18months??? Shocking! For 3 years he abused her and he gets 18 months! Adults make plenty of other decisions when it comes to children, why couldn't he be the adult here? Why was he regularly allowed to spend time with her in her bedroom??? Why did the police not take it further in 1995? Some retreat he had??? The law is an ass, 18 months??? Surely he will not be held in high regard by his parish now?
Why is there a mention of his health complaints??? The Archbishop will initiate processes under church law??? (Probably means send him to some other parish)!
This is a criminal offence against a child and should be treated as such... Unbelievable...
