I read about this. the kids said that they have nightmares about their mother being buried, tied up, with her head above ground. If she/anyone can free themselves, then she could be freed. Like you said, barbaric.
Yeah kriss the men don't get buried so deep in a stoning... (Just saying these words is wrong) Women get buried deeper to spare their breasts, can you believe it? Even animals don't act like this with their own kind! I live in Scotland so therefore don't celebrate the 4th as such, but I have family in the USA and I'm always aware of it... You have a great 4th too! Susan C
