Why Christianity is Impossible to Believe (Christopher Hitchens)

  1. Seems that you're very much against 'fundamentalist Christianity'. But that is quite an ambiguous concept. What part of Christianity are you against? Loving your neighbour as yourself? Doing to others as you would have them do to you? Or expecting justice in the sense of 'as you sow so shall you reap'?

  2. Sorry about the delay in answering you Marcus, I should have flagged the email but it got further down the line as my emails came in... I do not actually need Christianity to tell me to love my neighbour, that kinda comes naturally, same with doing to others as you would have them do to you... They are natural human concepts, which don't need the bible telling us! But what is unfair, cruel, barbaric, is in the Bible, and not just 'Fundamentalist' teachings, but there in black and white are all the atrocities, Injustices, Absurdities, Contradictions etc etc Is what Gets on my goat... And actually I don't even believe in God any more, so all this is really 'man-made' dictation and a way to control the masses, in my eyes anyway!!!
