I was raised in a fundamentalist church and saw some of this, even though I didn't really have it myself. I was pretty-much a conformist so I didn't get the worst treatment.
But I do regret that I was part of a system that hurt people.
I couldn't switch to atheism, though, because I still believe in God. But mainstream Christianity has been a good fit for me.
Thank you for your comment John, and as long as you are 'happy' within yourself about your belief... I have just lost respect for Religion all together now. and also don't see any proof for a god , now that my eyes are open... Each to our own... Take care...
